Mas National to deliver enhanced apprenticeship services

Published April 24, 2024

Mas National (part of the IntoWork Group) will deliver the Australian Government’s redesigned apprenticeship support services across five states and territories from July.

Mas National has been awarded contracts by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to deliver Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) in New South Wales, Queensland (inclusive of the Torres Strait regions), Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, and South Australia after a competitive tendering process.

Mas National CEO John Glass said the organisation is proud to be continuing its role in building a skilled workforce, “Mas National has been delivering innovative employment and apprenticeship support services across Australia for over 25 years, supporting hundreds of thousands of apprentices and employers. We’re excited to be part of this new, enhanced service and further strengthening this vital career pathway.”

IntoWork Group CEO Poul Bottern said the contracts will see an expansion of Mas services into New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, “It’s an exciting time in the apprenticeship sector, with an increased focus on improving completion rates, diversity of the apprenticeship workforce and greater wraparound support – areas that Mas have demonstrated expertise in. Supported by the IntoWork Group, Mas now has the opportunity to bring its offering to more Australians than ever before.”

In addition to delivering services across the five states under the new contract, Mas National will continue to service its existing and new national clients across Australia.

The Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) commence on 1 July 2024, and replace the current Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN).
