Renowned leadership coach to speak at Collective Perth event

Published May 15, 2024

Liz Del Borrello, a certified business and personal coach specialising in leadership, will take the stage at Collective’s Inspiring Women in Business Perth event this month.

Liz will focus on the invaluable role of strong networks in your leadership journey, providing attendees with practical strategies to build and maintain their professional network. With her expertise, she will also share top networking tips to eliminate those dreaded awkward conversations that often hinder meaningful connections.

Collective – Inspiring Women in Business, powered by the IntoWork Group, empowers and supports women at all stages of their careers through networking events, mentoring, and professional development.

Collective Perth State Lead Kirstie Pike has announced Orana House is the charity partner for this event, “Orana house is a women’s refuge and not-for-profit organisation that provides crisis accommodation and holistic support services to women and children escaping family and domestic violence. This is a vital service for local women and we’re proud to be able to support it through Collective.”

At the event, attendees will hear about Liz’s journey to becoming a leadership coach, which began after personally experiencing toxic leadership and burnout in corporate Australia. After six months of intensive therapy, she felt compelled to transform her pain into purpose.

In 2022, she founded Leaders Lobby Perth, a networking community for like-minded leaders, after recognising a gap in her clients’ networking strategies, particularly within Perth’s close-knit community, “Networking is more than collecting business cards or LinkedIn connections. It’s about making mutually beneficial and meaningful professional relationships. It is a vital skill for leaders and future leaders in business – it’s essential to connect, influence, learn and build trust,” she said.

With over 25 years of corporate experience, Liz now works with leaders and future leaders to be more people-focused and purpose-driven through personal coaching and leadership training programs for businesses. In 2023, her dedication earned her recognition as one of Perth’s Top 15 Coaches, along with a Community Leader Award.

This year, she was announced as a Knowledge Partner of the Sydney-based Women Leaders Institute. She will be delivering the Perth Women in Leadership Executive Program and speaking at the Women in Mining and Resources Summit in July.

Ms Pike said she is thrilled to have Liz as a speaker, “Liz has become one of Perth’s most sought-after leadership coaches, trainers, and speakers. She’ll undoubtedly provide invaluable insights and inspiration to our attendees.”

Alongside the event, women have the opportunity to sign up for Collective’s free national mentoring program, which is run online and is open to all women in business across Australia.

Collective Perth will be held at The Claremont Hotel, 1 Bay View Terrace, Claremont on Thursday May 16 from 12pm to 1.30pm.
